Willow

Willow

My name is Willow. I have been looking for my forever home for way too long. Though I am grateful for being saved it is time for me to move on. I am a very nervous dog. My foster mom has been working with me to build my confidence and slowly I am getting braver. It's a long road as I have never been in a house before and been confronted with slippery floor and loud washing machines. I'm very nervous of other dogs so I think I would be happiest in a only dog home. That way I will get all the attention which I am starved for. I am very loving and with a little patience will make you a wonderful companion. If you live a quiet life and wants some company please consider me.

Lex

Lex

This beautiful male German Shepherd was saved by I am alive in September. Lex came to us from Quebec - very hungry and very skinny. Has been diagnosed with Exocrine pancreas insufficiency. He is on medication(enzymes) now and need to stay on it for the rest of his life. He gained weight now and we think he is ready to go to his new forever home. This dog is extremely well trained, knows commands in German. Very sociable (loves people), listens well, very friendly and very cooperative. Available to approved home with no other animals.

Luca

Luca

Luka is an affectionate, gentle 8yr+ old male husky. He has been neutered and his shots are UTD. He is typical husky in many ways. He has a high prey drive (so no small animals) and is a runner (fenced exercise yard needed). He has a medium energy level. He Loves to go for long walks/runs (daily exercise is needed for this breed) and have extra play time in the yard. Luka is learning to play with toys and is toy possessive with other dogs. His present foster home has another medium sized female dog. He seems to learn from her and enjoys her company. He bonded quickly with his foster Mom and follows her everywhere. He loves to cuddle and get petted. Luka does have a bit of separation anxiety. He will cry/bark at first but settles well and has been left free in the house for a few hours. He does not like being crated, (this is being worked on, but it stresses him) Luka's background is uncertain and he is still learning to trust. But, he has come a very long way. He will tend to snap out of fear if grabbed by the collar, but much improved. At the moment he would do better in an adult only home. He's a really good loving boy.

Max

Max

Max - German Shepherd x male around 2 years old, He is neutered , up to date with vaccination, microchipped , When he came to us he was very shy with new people, today he had visitors and he showed us how much he changed. He was great with them and was having so much fun playing outside. He is not good with other animals (specially the small once) Home with no small children would be the best.

Harmony

Harmony

This beautiful Boxer-Lab cross is Harmony. She is a very special girl looking for a very special forever home. Harmony came to our rescue almost nine months ago from the kill shelter in Quebec. At the young age of six months, something had happened in her life that made her terrified of humans, especially shouting humans. Once in her foster home at first gradually, and then in leaps and bounds, Harmony came to trust and love her foster momma and part-time dad. Harmony loves being part of a secure family of a quieter nature. She is unsure of too much noise and bustle. She loves to be cuddled and is happiest when she can be near her humans. She loves to play with toys. She loves the company of her doggie ‘brothers and sisters’ and is gentle and non-dominant. Harmony loves to play in a fenced yard and trots around with her toys and enjoys the sunshine. She loves to lay upside-down with a goofy grin on her face to get belly rubs. She enjoys walks, but due to her shyness does not enjoy engaging with people met on walks. Unfortunately, she is not good with cats. Harmony is house trained. Her major challenge is counter surfing which may be an ongoing training process. When left alone in the house, Harmony requires the security of her crate, which is her preference; she becomes very anxious and tries to get to a door when her human must leave, but in her crate she is settled, secure and happy. The most difficult thing about Harmony is that in meeting her, you will see a dog who is afraid and not see the truly loving girl she really is. She needs time to trust and meet at her own pace. Once she know you can be trusted, the look in her eyes is one of a dog searching to love and trust a human. When she trusts you, her look is one of total adoration! Anyone considering this girl will have to be prepared to allow her this time to trust and adjust to a new situation.
